Baku hosts key discussion on dispute resolution, judicial reforms
An expanded meeting of the working group focused on dispute resolution and the rule of law was convened by the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings in Baku.
The session brought together a diverse array of stakeholders, including Secretaries from the Commission, officials from the Ministry of Justice, members of the Supreme Court, Baku Court of Appeal, the Judicial Legal Council, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Economy, State Customs Committee, Small and Medium Business Development Agency, and the Mediation Council, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The gathering also saw participation from private sector representatives, underscoring a broad commitment to enhancing the judicial landscape.
A key highlight of the meeting was the presentation of the new functionalities of the Unified Judicial Portal. The "Judicial Statistics" section of the portal has been upgraded to offer more comprehensive data on commercial cases, aiming to improve public access to judicial statistics.
Discussions also centered on the implementation of initiatives outlined in the 2024 Roadmap, which sets forth the working group's primary objectives. The Roadmap includes several innovative projects aimed at advancing dispute resolution, enforcement mechanisms, and judicial systems.
The meeting concluded with presentations from various participants and a detailed discussion on ongoing and upcoming activities of the working group, reflecting a concerted effort to drive improvements in the business environment and judicial efficiency.
