Baku, Tehran seek to enhance bilateral relations through joint projects

Azerbaijan, Iran's FM discuss cooperation, regional issues A telephone conversation has been held between Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi.

During the phone talks, the ministers discussed the current agenda of bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iran, as well as regional issues, Caliber.Az reports, citing the press service of the Iranian Foreign Ministry.

Bayramov congratulated his Iranian counterpart on his appointment as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, wished him success in his role, and invited him to visit Azerbaijan.

Both sides agreed on the importance of further strengthening cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iran in implementing several joint projects, including those in the fields of economy, trade, transport, and communications.

They also emphasized the significance of the work of the State Commission on Economic, Trade, and Humanitarian Affairs between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Islamic Republic of Iran. Minister Araghchi expressed his gratitude for the congratulations and well wishes on his appointment. He also welcomed the reopening of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Iran.
