Kremlin accuses France of escalating tensions with Russia
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has accused France of abandoning the path toward peace in favour of increasing pressure on Russia.
Speaking to reporters, Peskov stated that France is “not on the path to peace” but instead intensifying efforts to pressure Moscow, Caliber.Az reported, citing TASS.
"France is not on the path to peace, France is on the path of intensifying pressure on Russia. France still hopes that something can be achieved from Russia through pressure," the Kremlin representative explained.
According to Peskov, this indicates a complete misunderstanding of Russia's nature.
The Kremlin official also criticised French President Emmanuel Macron, stating, “One can only express regret that the head of the French state does not understand the real state of affairs.”
