CDRI to present telecoms resilience study at COP29

The Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI) will present a new study on strengthening telecommunications infrastructure against natural disasters at the upcoming COP29 climate conference in Baku.

CDRI CEO Amit Prothi said the organisation is expanding its telecom infrastructure projects globally and will launch initiatives in foreign countries this year, Caliber.Az reports, citing Indian media.

"We are conducting studies in several Indian states to understand where there are risks in the telecom space," he added.

The CEO emphasised that apart from unveiling the study, CDRI plans to announce a new set of funding recipients for small island developing states.

CDRI is an India-led initiative that provides services to other states to model likely risks from environmental shocks.
