Poland faces severe migration crisis at Belarus border

Poland is grappling with its most significant migration crisis in a decade, largely due to an influx of illegal migrants at the border with Belarus, Tomasz Siemoniak, Minister of the Interior and Administration said.

Semoniak emphasized the gravity of the situation, highlighting not only the plight of vulnerable families but also the emergence of aggressive groups that have resorted to violence against Polish police, throwing sticks and stones, Caliber.Az reports citing Polish sources.

As the situation escalates, public support for the Polish government's measures to tighten asylum rights and other border control actions has grown, Siemoniak noted.
