Children of Azerbaijani martyrs join Karabakh sister-school camp in France
The eighth edition of the Karabakh Sister Schools summer camp has opened in the French city of Colmar, bringing together children of Azerbaijani martyrs and students participating in the international educational initiative.
The project is being implemented with the support of the Azerbaijan Diaspora Support Foundation in cooperation with the Zafar Public Association for the Support of Martyrs’ Families, the Azerbaijani Cultural Centre in Switzerland and the Karabakh Weekend School in Nantes. The camp programme features educational workshops, intellectual competitions, cultural and sporting activities, as well as discussions focused on patriotism.
As part of the initiative, children of Azerbaijani martyrs studying in schools across Azerbaijan met with students of the Karabakh Weekend School in Nantes.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Azerbaijan Diaspora Support Foundation Executive Director Akram Abdullayev, Chairman of the Azerbaijani Cultural Centre in Switzerland Gasim Nasirov, trainer Lala Huseynzade and Azerbaijani-French Cultural Association representative Asband Fataliyeva highlighted the significance of the project and the importance of state support for the children of martyrs.
The summer camp will continue until July 23.
