Comoros president injured in dagger attack

Comoros President Azali Assoumani was injured in an attack by an unidentified assailant wielding a dagger.

The incident occurred while President Assoumani was attending a memorial service in the Salimani locality, Caliber.Az reports per foreign media. 

The attack, which targeted the President's head, resulted in a wound that, fortunately, is not considered life-threatening. The assailant has been apprehended and is currently under interrogation.

Details surrounding the motive behind the attack remain unclear, but the incident has prompted heightened security measures. The authorities are investigating the attack thoroughly.
