NATO nations to continue tank supplies to Ukraine Coalition strengthens military support
A recent meeting of NATO member countries within the tank coalition confirmed that military assistance to Ukraine, especially in the form of tanks, will persist.
The declaration was made by Polish Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz following the opening of the 25th meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group, convened at the Ramstein Airbase in Germany, Caliber.Az reports citing Russian media.
During the briefing, Kosiniak-Kamysz highlighted the ongoing commitment of participating nations to Ukraine's defence efforts. "At the meeting, I presented our coalition’s roadmap for strengthening Ukraine’s armored capabilities and the upcoming tranche of support. All nations involved in this meeting are preparing for further assistance and additional supplies to Ukraine," he stated,
US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, speaking at the opening of the 25th meeting, emphasized the approval of strategic roadmaps across eight areas of military cooperation with Kyiv. According to a joint statement released by the Pentagon, the participating nations reaffirmed their commitment to meeting Ukraine’s short- and long-term military needs through a combination of government contributions, procurement, and investments.
Additionally, efforts are underway to expand the capabilities of the defence industrial base to support Ukraine’s defence initiatives.
This continued supply of tanks and other military equipment underscores the unwavering support from NATO allies for Ukraine as the country faces ongoing challenges in the face of Russia's invasion. The NATO alliance remains focused on bolstering Ukraine’s defence infrastructure as part of a coordinated effort to strengthen its military capabilities in the months and years to come.
