COP29 Azerbaijan launches food safety training for hotels
In preparation for the COP29 conference, the Azerbaijan Operating Company has initiated a series of food safety training sessions for local hotels.
The training focuses on "Food safety Level 2" and is tailored to meet both international standards and local culinary practices, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The program, developed and approved by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH), aims to enhance food and hospitality standards for conference attendees.
The initial training sessions, which began in August, are designed for caterers, hotel, restaurant, and catering staff. They address crucial aspects of food safety, including best practices for food preparation and storage, hygiene protocols, and the personal responsibility of employees. The training will continue through October and extend to additional hotels in the capital.
