EU ready to collaborate with Azerbaijan on climate initiatives for COP29 chairmanship

The European Union is prepared to collaborate with Azerbaijan in supporting the country's chairmanship of COP29 to advance global solutions to climate challenges.

As Report informs, EU Ambassador to Azerbaijan Peter Mihalko made the remarks during a meeting with journalists on World Press Freedom Day.

The ambassador highlighted that this year's primary focus of cooperation between the EU and Azerbaijan is centered around climate change.

"The European Union and Azerbaijan maintain a strong partnership, and we are committed to continuing our dialogue and close cooperation. Certain areas are prioritized, and this year, the focus will notably be on addressing climate change as a critical global issue. This topic holds significant importance in EU-Azerbaijan relations," Ambassador Mihalko emphasized.
