Azerbaijan hosts major defence, security exhibitions ADEX and Securex Caspian 2024
The 5th Anniversary Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition ADEX, the largest event in the region dedicated to the defence industry, will take place at the Baku Expo Center on September 24-26.
Simultaneously, the 14th International Exhibition for Internal Security, Safety and Rescue Equipment Securex Caspian will also be held, Caliber.Az reports, citing ADEX.
Although the biennial exhibition is celebrating its 5th anniversary this year, it has already been operating for 10 years, continuously expanding its participant list and the sectors it covers with each edition.
Over the past decade, the exhibition has brought together numerous companies and nearly 200 official delegations representing more than 50 countries worldwide. More than 30,000 visitors have attended the event during these years.
This year, the exhibitions will occupy the entire area of the Baku Expo Center, including its newly opened 4th hall and outdoor space.
As many as 270 companies from 38 countries have confirmed their participation. In addition to Azerbaijan, the participating countries include Belarus, Bulgaria, China, Czech Republic, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Pakistan, Qatar, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, Türkiye, UAE, Ukraine, UK, US, and others. This year's exhibitions have been refreshed with new companies, which make up 34% of the total number of participants. Among the participating countries, Hungary, Qatar, Singapore, and Slovakia are new additions to the exhibitions compared to 2022.
Fourteen countries will be represented by national pavilions, including Azerbaijan, Belarus, Czech Republic, China, Italy, Israel, Hungary, Pakistan, Qatar, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Türkiye, and Ukraine. Compared to 2022, the number of exhibition participants has increased by 32%.
Traditionally, “ADEX” attracts high-level guests and delegations from various countries. This year, official delegations from 27 countries, comprising over 300 representatives, are expected to visit the exhibition, including delegations from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bahrain, Burkina Faso, Algeria, Georgia, Jordan, Israel, Italy, Kuwait, Malaysia, Morocco, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Slovakia, Somalia, Türkiye, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Croatia, and Vietnam.
The exhibition is held on the initiative and with the organisational support of the Ministry of Defence Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan and support of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The organizer of the exhibition is the Caspian Event Organisers, and its international partner, Caspian Event Management.
The ADEX exhibition will feature various sectors, including aircraft and aviation systems, armed combat vehicles, associations, chemical, biological and radiation (CBR) protection, defence and security consulting, disposal of weapons: tools and technologies, export promotion companies, logistics services, logistics, medical supplies, engineering systems and facilities, military educational establishments, military laboratories, military organisations, military uniform clothing and equipment, optoelectronic equipment and systems, radio-electronic systems, C4ISR, research institutes, ships, vessels and naval systems, simulators and training systems, unmanned vehicles, weapons and ammunition, and weapons production equipment and more.
In 2024, the scope of the ADEX exhibition will be expanded with the addition of a new sector—cybersecurity.
The “Securex Caspian” exhibition is supported by the Ministry of Defense Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, State Security Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Border Service of Azerbaijan Republic, and, for the first time, the Special State Protection Service.
In 2024, the State Service of Special Communication and Information Security of the Republic of Azerbaijan will also participate in the “Securex Caspian” exhibition with its own stand.
The exhibition will present access control and management systems, CCTV systems, equipment for operational-search activities, fire safety, forensic tools and systems, information security, rescue vehicles and equipment, security education, security services, special clothing and equipment, special vehicles for law enforcement authorities, weapons and ammunition and other types of products and more.
