Georgia, Türkiye ink Memorandum of Understanding to boost energy cooperation
Georgia and Türkiye signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Energy Cooperation, 1tv.ge reports.
Signed within the scope of Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze’s official visit to Türkiye, the document is poised to strengthen and deepen the partnership between Georgia and Türkiye.
According to the government’s press office, the memorandum will enable both sides to share knowledge and experience in such directions as renewable energy, energy efficiency, infrastructure digitalization, carbon footprint reduction, etc.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Georgia’s Vice Prime Minister/Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili and Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Türkiye Alparslan Bayraktar.
The Georgian Prime Minister and the President of Türkiye attended the signing ceremony.
