German envoy calls for peace between Azerbaijan, Armenia PHOTO
German Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ralf Horlemann has called for peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
“We would like to see peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia,” Horlemann said during a visit to an area in the Azerbaijani Ganja city, devastated by Armenian missile attacks during the Second Karabakh War in 2020, according to Report.
The ambassador expressed deep regret at what had happened in the territory that had been shelled by the Armenian Armed Forces.
"Judging from what we see here, the war was terrible. Innocent civilians must not be killed by shelling in their own homes. They are innocent victims of war. Unfortunately, peace between the two states has not been restored yet. We want there to be peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia so that innocent people never die again," the ambassador said.
As part of his visit to Ganja, the German ambassador met with the city’s Executive Power head, and was informed of terrorist attacks committed by Armenians.
