Global Youth Summit 2025 kicks off in Baku PHOTO
The Global Youth Summit 2025 of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is underway in Baku as part of the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC-25).
The event aims to bring together young innovators, policymakers, and industry leaders to encourage greater youth involvement in shaping the future of digital development, Caliber.Az reports per Azertag.
At the opening ceremony, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport, Sameddin Asadov, and Director of the ITU Telecommunication Development Bureau, Cosmas Luckyson Zavazava, delivered remarks.
Speakers highlighted the importance of active youth participation in the ICT sector, as well as the growing role of the space industry and advanced technologies in driving global development goals.
Following the opening ceremony, a session titled “Intergenerational Dialogue” was held, enabling an exchange of views between youth representatives from the ITU’s six regional offices and young participants from Azerbaijan.
