Hezbollah launches 200 rockets as Israel hits command centres in Lebanon 65 militants killed
Israeli military forces have announced the successful discovery and destruction of a major Hezbollah command centre in southern Lebanon.
In a statement, the Israeli army said, "During a ground operation, troops destroyed a command post as well as an observation post used to monitor the situation in border towns in Israel," Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.
Meanwhile, Middle Eastern media outlets reported that Israeli airstrikes continued on October 19, targeting suspected Hezbollah positions in Lebanon. Specifically, the southern suburbs of Beirut were among the areas hit by the strikes.
Since early on October 19, the Israeli army has recorded the launch of 200 projectiles and rockets by Hezbollah fighters towards Israel, according to a statement from the Israeli military’s press service.
The data, updated as of 23:00 local time, underscores the continued intensity of the conflict.
"The army will continue to defend Israel and its people against the threats posed by the Hezbollah terrorist organization," the Israeli military declared in its official statement.
The escalation marks a new phase in the ongoing hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah, as both sides exchange fire along the border region, heightening tensions in the Middle East.
Besides, as of October 20 morning, the Israeli military destroyed more than 65 militants of the Shiite organization Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.
The army press service reported that.“The IAF struck and destroyed more than 65 Hezbollah terrorists in southern Lebanon, and hit dozens of Hezbollah terrorist targets, including positions, launchers aimed at Israeli civilians and terrorist infrastructure,” the statement reads.
