Israel accuses Iran of trying to boost terrorism in West Bank
Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Galant has accused Iran of trying to intensify terrorist activity against Israel during the month of Ramadan in the West Bank.
"We [Israeli military] must prepare for increased terrorist activity during Ramadan and deploy an offensive response against Iran's attempts to intensify terrorism on our territory," TASS quotes Galant as saying on X after a meeting with Israeli army special forces.
Earlier on March 11, the army press office reported the elimination in the West Bank of a resident of the West Bank town of Jenin who was travelling to Israeli territory to carry out a terrorist attack using an explosive device shortly.
Galant noted in a meeting with the military that "Iran is working to make terrorist attacks more violent by supplying weapons" to radicals in the West Bank, The Times of Israel reported. The MoD chief added that the weapons in question were of "high quality."
