Israel is preparing for a limited ground operation in Lebanon.
"Israel is ready to conduct a very limited ground incursion into Lebanon," Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) General Staff named the offensive operation launched in Lebanon "Northern Arrows" on September 23. On September 27, IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari announced that Israeli forces conducted an airstrike on the main headquarters of the Shiite movement Hezbollah in Beirut, Lebanon.
He noted that the facility was located beneath residential buildings in the central Dahieh district. Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah’s death in an airstrike carried out by an Israeli Air Force fighter jet on the organisation's underground headquarters was confirmed on September 28.
Later, the IDF released footage of F-15 fighter jets flying to eliminate the Hezbollah leader. Earlier, Iranian officials stated that the US bore responsibility for the assassination of Hezbollah's secretary-general.
