"Mop-up" operation in Transnistria plotted Announcement by Strelkov-Girkin

Igor Strelkov-Girkin, former head of the "Defence Ministry" of the so-called Donetsk People's Republic ("DPR" or "DNR") and one of the active leaders of the war in Donbass, said on his Telegram channel that "information about the joint preparation of the Romanian-Ukrainian coalition for the "mopping up" of Transnistria received additional confirmation."

"In addition to the Moldovan army units staffed by Romanian personnel indicated in my last post on this subject, there is information about the preparation of entire military units on the territory of Romania already disguised in Moldovan military uniforms. There is also information about the concentration of Ukrainian units and subunits on the border with Transnistria".

The Ukrainian military command is not only "interested" in delivering a "political and propagandistic slap on the Kremlin's face", but it also has quite concrete goals: the seizure of the ammunition storage base in Kolbasnaya, which still contains a fairly large amount of ammunition for Soviet-made artillery systems. The Moldovan authorities and military are openly afraid of the war, and do not even particularly hide their fear. But if (or rather, when) the command comes, absolutely no one will ask them.

The Transnistrian army has absolutely no chance to maintain itself without outside support in case of attack from both sides (which is exactly what is planned and the Nazi Governor of Odessa Marchenko has already hinted at). And the Russian Armed Forces are unable to help Transnistria with anything, except, perhaps, a number of missile launches at infrastructure facilities.

Sources estimate the probability of an enemy attack on Tiraspol in April or early May as "high," Strelkov-Girkin wrote.
