President Aliyev’s visit to Egypt highlighted in new video from Middle East Peace Summit VIDEO
A new video featuring Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s working visit to Egypt for the Middle East Peace Summit has been released on his official YouTube channel.
Caliber.Az presents the footage that captures key moments from President Aliyev’s participation in the high-level gathering, which was held on October 13, 2025, in the Egyptian resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh.
The summit, co-chaired by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and US President Donald Trump, brought together regional and international leaders to discuss a comprehensive framework for lasting stability across the Middle East.
Taking place amid rising tensions and deepening humanitarian challenges in Gaza, the summit focused on consolidating the ceasefire, advancing reconstruction efforts, and setting the groundwork for a broader peace process. Delegations from more than twenty countries attended, including Qatar, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and EU member states, as well as representatives from the United Nations and the Arab League.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the United States, Egypt, Qatar, and Türkiye signed a joint declaration endorsing the ceasefire in Gaza and pledging coordinated follow-up steps. The document outlined measures to strengthen governance and security in the enclave, facilitate reconstruction, and ensure the continuous delivery of humanitarian aid.
President Trump described the event as “a historic opportunity to bring stability to a region that has known too much conflict,” pledging that Washington would continue to play an active role in diplomatic and economic initiatives to achieve a lasting peace.
The Egyptian presidency emphasised that discussions also focused on opening and maintaining humanitarian corridors to guarantee the safe and efficient delivery of aid to Gaza’s civilian population. Participants reaffirmed their shared commitment to promoting dialogue, advancing the exchange of captives, and ensuring the full implementation of the ceasefire terms.
The Sharm El-Sheikh summit, attended by President Ilham Aliyev and other key leaders, marked a significant renewal of international diplomatic engagement aimed at restoring peace and stability in the Middle East under US leadership.
