Red Crescent says 364 medical workers killed since start of war

At least 364 medical workers have died since the conflict in the Gaza Strip escalated, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a statement on X.

“Since the beginning of the war on the Gaza Strip, 364 medical workers, including doctors, nurses, and paramedics, have been killed by the Israeli occupation forces. International humanitarian law mandates the protection of medical and humanitarian workers,” Caliber.Az quotes the agency as saying.

Moreover, at least 72 more Palestinians were killed and 114 others injured over the last 24 hours, as Israel continues its onslaught on the besieged Gaza Strip, the territory's Health Ministry said on March 23.

“The Israeli occupation (forces) committed seven massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, leaving 72 martyrs and 114 injured during the past 24 hours,” a ministry statement said.

“Many people are still trapped under rubble and on the roads as rescuers are unable to reach them,” it added.
