Zelenskyy says he struck deal with Denmark, US for joint weapons production
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced new agreements with Denmark on joint weapons production in a video message shared on his Telegram channel.
According to Zelenskyy, Kyiv and Copenhagen signed the agreement the day before, marking “the first substantial opportunities for Ukrainian manufacturing abroad.” The weapons will be produced on Danish territory, as per Caliber.Az.
The president also announced he struck a deal with the US on bolstering the production of drones.
“We have also agreed with the American side on a significant expansion of cooperation on drones. This will provide Ukraine with hundreds of thousands of drones this year on special terms and many more next year,” Zelenskyy said.
He added that drone interceptors are now a top priority for Ukraine, with plans to increase weekly production and train more operators to enhance the effectiveness of UAV operations.
