Zelenskyy empowers security forces to prepare new operations against Russia

Russia's Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) will begin preparations for the implementation of new combat operations against Russia, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

In a statement published on Telegram, Zelenskyy confirmed that he had granted the necessary authorisation during a meeting with acting SBU head Yevhen Khmara, per Caliber.Az.

“New operations have also been approved,” the president wrote, without providing further details.

The statement comes amid ongoing intense fighting, recent Russian missile strikes and Ukraine's reliance on asymmetric tactics—such as deep strikes on Russian infrastructure, energy facilities, and military assets—to offset conventional disadvantages.
