Speedboat collision in Thailand leaves one dead, 21 injured
A speedboat operated by a local company has collided with a fishing boat near Koh Khiao, located between Phuket and Koh Phi Phi in Krabi province, Thailand.
The accident resulted in injuries to 22 people, including 19 foreign tourists and 3 Thai crew members, Caliber.Az reports via Thai media.
Tragically, one tourist, 18-year-old Russian national Miss Starykh Elizaveta, has died.
The remaining injured received initial first aid at Koh Phi Phi Hospital with support from the Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization. They were subsequently transported by boat to Phuket for further medical treatment.
Authorities and rescue teams responded promptly to the scene, rescuing all individuals involved in the collision. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
