Russia repels Ukraine's attack in Kharkiv, kills 200 servicemen
The Ukrainian armed forces have attempted to attack the positions of the Russian troops in the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) and the Kharkiv Region, as a result of which Russian forces eliminated 200 Ukrainian militants, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov told reporters on November 6.
"In the Kupyansk direction, a battalion tactical group of the Ukrainian military forces fortified by a group of nationalists attempted to attack the positions of Russian troops at a narrow section of the front in the direction of the Novoselovskoye settlement of the Lugansk People’s Republic," he said, adding that the Russian army managed to stop the divisions of the enemy, TASS informs.
"Moreover, the enemy made an attempt to attack Russian positions in the area of the Kotlayrovka settlement in the Kharkiv Region, which was foiled," Konashenkov noted. "In 24 hours in this [Kupyansk] direction up to 200 Ukrainian servicemen, eight tanks, nine armoured combat vehicles and pickup trucks were eliminated," he concluded.
