Zelenskyy confirms Ukraine’s high-level contacts with US ahead of Türkiye talks
Ukraine is maintaining close communication with the United States regarding upcoming negotiations in Istanbul, with Kyiv expecting the arrival of American representatives in Türkiye soon.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy made the announcement upon his arrival in Ankara, where he is scheduled to meet later with Türkiye’s President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Caliber.Az reports, citing the broadcast.
“We are in contact with the American side, and I believe they will also be in Türkiye at a high level,” the Ukrainian president said.
Zelenskyy also revealed that the Ukrainian delegation in Türkiye includes representatives from all of the country’s intelligence agencies. “Our delegation is at the very highest level — including the Foreign Ministry, my office, the military, and our intelligence services,” he added.
The presence of such a comprehensive delegation underlines the importance Kyiv places on these talks, reflecting a coordinated effort across multiple government sectors.
The upcoming discussions in Istanbul are anticipated to address critical issues amid ongoing tensions, with both Ukraine and its international partners seeking pathways to resolve the conflict.
