Sputnik-Azerbaijan agency’s activity must be banned Azerbaijani MP’s appeal

APA reports referring to the statement made by member of the parliamentary economic policy, industries and enterprising committee Vahid Ahmadov at the meeting of the Azerbaijani parliament on April 26.
“The Sputnik-Azerbaijan news agency operates in Azerbaijan. A general who served in Abkhazia and Ossetia has been recently appointed head of the channel of this agency,” MP said.
Ahmadov stressed that the activity of this channel and agency must be terminated.
“I am appealing to the Azerbaijan Media Agency and the Press Council regarding this issue.
The activity of Sputnik-Azerbaijan must be investigated and its activity must be banned in Azerbaijan,” the MP said.
