A severe traffic accident on the Ankara-Aksaray highway has resulted in the tragic death of seven individuals, according to an update from Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya via social media platform X.
The collision also left 33 others injured, with two reported to be in critical condition, Caliber.Az reports.
Yerlikaya detailed that the accident involved a tourist bus carrying two drivers, one guide, and 41 passengers, which veered off the road and overturned. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident as emergency services continue to respond to those affected.

The bus driver lost control of the vehicle, resulting in it overturning, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.
The incident has led to the tragic loss of six people, while 20 others sustained injuries. Emergency services, including police and ambulances, promptly arrived at the scene to assist.
Bus accidents often occur in Türkiye. Another bus accident occurred in Ankara in August, resulting in nine fatalities and 26 injuries of varying severity.
The bus was travelling from Ankara to Eskisehir when, for unknown reasons, it veered off the road and crashed into a support pillar of a railway viaduct. The police are investigating the cause of the accident.
In May, 10 people died and 40 were injured when a bus, two cars and a truck collided on a highway near the southern city of Mersin.
