Trump: "American Dream" turning into nightmare, with nation striving for hell
US presidential candidate Donald Trump said that his country is striving for hell, and the "American dream" has turned into a nightmare.
Addressing potential voters, Trump let slip that they had a much better life under his presidency (2017- 2021), Gazeta.ru reports.
On 11 February, during a campaign rally of his supporters in the US state of South Carolina, Trump accused several NATO member states of failing to meet their financial obligations under the defence cut-off programme. In addition, the politician admitted that he was ready to encourage hypothetical Russian attacks on such states.
Commenting on Trump's words, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the actions of the former US president should not provoke the beginning of the disintegration of the organisation.
During his presidency, Trump was in favour of the US withdrawal from NATO.
