Turkish Airlines evacuates over 256,000 people from quake-torn areas

The Turkish Airlines company has evacuated 256,754 people from zones massively hit by the February 6 earthquake, Anadolu quotes the company’s CEO Bilal Eksi as saying.

The company have carried out 1,516 evacuation flights from the earthquake zone so far, the statement said.

As many as 143,740 rescue and aid workers have been flown to the earthquake-hit provinces of Türkiye. In addition, 177 cargo flights were conducted, delivering 10,753 tonnes of humanitarian cargo.
