Kremlin: Russia has no dialogue with Kyiv or EU, keeps only contact with Washington
Russia continues to contact the American side, but there is no dialogue with the Europeans and Ukrainians, said Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.
"We continue our contacts with the Americans. We have no contacts with the Europeans, and no contacts with the Ukrainians either," Peskov noted, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Moscow’s relations with the European Union and Ukraine have deteriorated to historic lows. Sanctions, diplomatic expulsions, and the severing of many institutional ties have left Russia increasingly isolated from much of the Western bloc.
In contrast, communication lines between Moscow and Washington—while strained—have remained partially open, particularly on matters of strategic stability, arms control, and crisis management.
