Over 40 earthquakes rock Türkiye's Istanbul within three hours
Some 47 earthquakes struck Türkiye's Istanbul within just three hours on April 23.
After a series of earthquakes, aftershocks are still being felt in the region, Caliber.Az reports per Turkish media.
Another aftershock occurred at 17:55 local time (GMT+3). The tremor registered a magnitude of 3.5, with the epicentre located at a depth of 14.58 kilometres.

After a 3.9-magnitude earthquake off the coast of Silivri in Istanbul, a second, more powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 struck the area.
The tremor, which lasted for 10 seconds, caused widespread panic, Caliber.Az reports, citing the official X (formerly Twitter) account of Türkiye’s Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD).

The earthquake was recorded at 13:13, with its epicentre located in the Sea of Marmara, off the coast of Istanbul’s Silivri district.
The earthquake occurred at a depth of 6.99 km.
A second strong earthquake followed at 13:39, also off the coast of Silivri. Reports state that the magnitude of this second quake was approximately 6.2. It occurred at a depth of 6.99 km.
