Türkiye, Iran review latest developments amid regional tensions

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, held a phone call on September 16 as regional tensions remain high and negotiations continue, a source in Turkey’s Foreign Ministry told TASS.

“During the conversation, current developments in the context of the recent attacks and the ongoing negotiations were discussed,” the source said.

No further details were provided about the conversation.

The latest call followed a September 12 phone conversation between Fidan and Araghchi, during which the ministers discussed efforts to resolve the issue surrounding the Strait of Hormuz and the attacks on Saudi Arabia, according to a source in the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
