Residents of Taganrog, Russia, complain of breathing difficulties after attack VIDEO

Residents of Taganrog, Russia, have complained of a strong smell of burning and difficulty breathing for the fourth consecutive day following the September 12 attack on the city.

They said even with the windows closed, there is a terrible smell and it is impossible to breathe, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

According to Taganrog-based Telegram channels, firefighting operations were still underway at one of the four damaged sites.

Russia’s Federal Service for Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare (Rospotrebnadzor) said no harmful substances had been detected at concentrations exceeding permissible limits.

ASTRA previously reported that smoke could still be seen in the area of the Taganrog-Central military airfield in Rostov Region, which was reportedly attacked on September 12.

The airbase is home to the 708th Military Transport Aviation Regiment. A 325th Aircraft Repair Plant, which repairs transport aircraft and their components, is also located nearby.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the attack on Taganrog and said it had struck “the production of FPV drones and UAV storage facilities, a fuel tank, a radar station, as well as a Pantsir-S2 system”.

On September 15, Ukrainian forces attacked Taganrog again, with the mayor reporting strikes on an Ozon warehouse and warehouses belonging to agricultural enterprises.
