Armenian Constitutional Court approves TRIPP agreement

Armenia’s Constitutional Court has approved the TRIPP agreement with the United States on strategic cooperation, ruling that the project complies with the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia.

The court’s press service said the full ruling will be published within three days, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.

The TRIPP initiative emerged from the August 8, 2025 Washington summit, where Azerbaijan and Armenia agreed to develop the project with the United States and other mutually determined parties as part of efforts to establish lasting regional connectivity.

Azerbaijan and the United States subsequently incorporated TRIPP into their broader strategic partnership agenda.

The TRIPP is a transportation initiative covering a roughly 42-kilometre section through Armenia that is intended to facilitate connectivity between Azerbaijan and its exclave of Nakhchivan.
