Ukraine neutralises Russia’s agents in southern territory
The Ukrainian Security Service has neutralised the Russian agents engaged in reconnaissance of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ position in southern Ukraine.
“Ukraine could declassify three people in the Mykolayiv region who worked for the Russian Federal Security Service,” RBC-Ukraine reports with reference to the Ukrainian Security Service.
"The Russian agents reconnoitred the combat positions and movements of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as well as the geolocation of strategic infrastructure facilities in the region," the message says.
The criminals used their close relatives and other local residents as informants.
“The members of the group sent the information they received to their Russian curator via text messages and photos with coordinates,” the message said.
During the search operations, law enforcement officers found computers and communications equipment confirming the activity of the Russian Federation.
The detainees have been suspected of charges upon three articles of the Criminal Code and were informed about this.
