Ukrainian medics facing heavy military losses unseen by NATO

Ukrainian medics are observing a scale and severity of casualties among Ukrainian troops that NATO has not yet encountered, The Times reports.

In December, at a conference of 800 of the alliance’s top medical personnel in Tartu, Estonia, the Ukrainians found it was their turn to train NATO troops on everything from unconventional injuries caused by needle bombs and thermobaric weapons to medical stations having to take part in combat manoeuvres and fight off Russian assault, the report says.
