UN-Habitat сhief praises Azerbaijan’s leadership at WUF13

The organisation and leadership demonstrated by Azerbaijan during the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku have been praised by Anacláudia Rossbach, Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme.

Speaking at the closing press conference of WUF13, Rossbach commended the Azerbaijani government for hosting the global event at a high standard, highlighting both organisational capacity and leadership throughout the forum.

“High level of hospitality, organisation, and leadership demonstrated this week deserves praise. I would also like to thank all participants — governments, cities, partners, experts, civil society, youth and communities — for their energy, engagement and shared determination over the past few days. This session has once again shown that WUF13 is truly a global platform for collective action for the future of cities,” she said.
