US to boost drone production in response to Ukraine conflict
Influenced by the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, the United States plans to significantly boost the production of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and enhance capabilities in counter-UAV systems and electronic warfare.
The announcement was made by US Secretary of the Army Christine Wormuth as she made a speech at the Stimson Center think tank in Washington, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
Warmuth highlighted that the US military budget for the upcoming year will reflect a substantial increase in investment in these areas, driven by insights gained from the Ukrainian conflict.
She emphasized that the Pentagon is adapting its strategies and resources based on the operational experiences and technological demands observed in Ukraine.
"The conflict in Ukraine has provided us with numerous lessons. We are responding by bolstering our capabilities in unmanned systems and electronic warfare to better meet future challenge," Wormuth stated.
