Azerbaijan defuses over 1,000 mines, munitions in liberated lands in a week

The Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) has defused some 1,031 mines and munitions in the liberated lands.

The agency discovered and defused 162 anti-personnel mines, 33 anti-tank mines, and 836 unexploded ordnance in the liberated lands during the February 5 - 11, Caliber.Az reports citing ANAMA's weekly information.

Since November 2020, the number of landmine and unexploded ordnance casualties in Azerbaijan has reached 345, the Azerbaijani Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) said earlier.

Armenia's indiscriminate placement of landmines in Azerbaijan remains a peril for innocent civilians.
