Armenian resident in Khankendi awaits return of Azerbaijani neighbours Expresses no desire to move to Armenia/VIDEO

The old life is gradually returning to Khankendi city with the arrival of Azerbaijanis, leading to unexpected encounters at times.

For example, the city’s native resident Zakir Hasanov (who was forced to leave Khankendi 34 years ago), who came to the city liberated from the separatists' power, has now, after more than three decades, met an old acquaintance - Misha Grigoryan, who works in a pharmacy, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan's Public Television (ITV).

The old acquaintances recalled past times engaging in a dialogue in Armenian.

Grigoryan noted that he does not complain about life.

"I don't know why the Armenians left. We should chop off the hands of those who unleashed this war. I have not seen a single bad thing from Azerbaijanis. I was in Baku in 1982-1983. We should live together. Well done Azerbaijanis, they help us well. May the Almighty help them as they help me.

Sometimes people ask me if I fought in the early 90s. I say - guys, you'd better ask me where I was getting high in the early 90s. Now my fridge is filled [with food] by Azerbaijanis. Everyone knows me, passing by, they ask me - do you need something, money or something? This whole shop, the house is mine. I have everything, I don't want to go to Armenia and I am waiting for the return of my neighbours - Azerbaijanis," Grigoryan said.
