Azerbaijan, Russia discuss expansion of tourism ties

Fuad Nagiyev, Chairman of Azerbaijan’s State Tourism Agency, met with Sergei Korneev, Chairman of the St Petersburg Committee for Tourism Development.

Within the framework of the meeting, discussions were held on the "Roadmap on tourism development between Azerbaijan and Russia for 2024-2026" signed on March, Caliber.Az reports.

The parties discussed the creation of joint tourist routes, investment opportunities, educational programmes, exchange of information and experience, development of ties between tourism companies and other issues.

Naghiyev and Korneev noted that various marketing activities, participation in exhibitions, organisation of seminars and presentations, opening of a tourist representative office in Moscow, organisation of introductory events for Russian tourism companies are planned to promote Azerbaijan's tourism potential in Russia this year.
