EU envoy optimistic about speedy normalisation of Baku-Yerevan relations

EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Toivo Klaar has said that the European Union was planning to work closely with Azerbaijan and Armenia to achieve a speedy result on the normalisation of relations between the two countries.

"We want to work in this direction together with Armenia and Azerbaijan to achieve a positive result. I don't think it will take so long if there is political commitment from both sides," he said in a conversation with Azatutyun Radio, Report informs.

Klaar emphasised that the EU supports the process of establishing peace and stability in the South Caucasus.
