Ukraine destroys another Russian ship
Ukraine's Armed Forces have hit a Russian minesweeper vessel of Project 266M Kovrovets.
"Tonight the Ukrainian defense forces destroyed the Russian Black Sea Fleet's naval minesweeper of the 266-M Kovrovets project," the report said, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Ukrainian General Staff.
The Ukrainian command did not give details, the Russian Defense Ministry did not comment on the situation. Earlier, the Russian military department reported that Kiev struck Crimea with ATACMS missiles. According to their data, all the shells were shot down.
The Project 266M Aquamarine-M minesweepers are a series of ships for searching and destroying sea mines, as well as guiding other vessels through mine barriers. "Kovrovets" was launched in 1974. Last October, a similar minesweeper "Ivan Golubets" was damaged by a Ukrainian strike in Sevastopol Bay.
