Armenian leadership's shift in foreign policy vector may be dangerous Ex-defence minister warns

Speaking to the Armenian media, former Armenian Defence Minister Arshak Karapetyan criticised the short-sighted foreign policy pursued by the current Armenian authorities.

"The current Armenian authorities are playing an extremely dangerous game regarding the CSTO, the EAEU and other integrating structures, which may have serious consequences," Karapetyan said, per Caliber.Az.

"Due to their dilettantism, they don't understand that it is not enough to change one component of the foreign policy vector and that in case of changing, all components need to be changed carefully, and changing only one component can be destructive for our country. The steps taken by the Armenian authorities to change the foreign policy vector will have not only political but also economic repercussions. Because Armenia is connected to Russia by every thread," Karapetyan said.
