Azerbaijani attack aircraft take part in "elephant walk" at Konya exercises
On July 4, Azerbaijani Su-25 attack aircraft participated in the "elephant walk" formation during the international military exercises Anatolian Eagle 2025 held in Konya, Türkiye.
A total of 75 combat aircraft involved in the drills performed a ceremonial flypast before an audience as part of the parade, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
The "elephant walk"—a military aviation term describing a close formation taxi of aircraft on the runway before take-off—serves as a show of strength and unity.
Following the formation, the participating warplanes conducted a joint flight demonstration.
Alongside Azerbaijan and Türkiye, delegations from the United States, Qatar, Hungary, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and NATO are taking part in the exercises.
Observers include representatives from Malaysia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Mali, and Nigeria.
The main aim of the exercises is to promote the sharing of knowledge, skills, and experience among all participants in realistic combat scenarios, while improving overall readiness for joint operations.
Taking place in Konya, Türkiye, the Anatolian Eagle 2025 exercises have drawn considerable media interest, with delegates from 34 nations attending and more than 1,100 photographers capturing the training flights.
