Search of former Armenian official’s mansion reveals jewellery, paintings

Armenia’s Investigative Committee has released footage of a search at the mansion of former State Revenue Committee chairman Gagik Khachatryan, showing jewellery and paintings.

The Investigative Committee provided no details of the investigative operation, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.

Khachatryan was previously remanded in custody for two months by a court ruling.

The former State Revenue Committee chief was detained on 1 September following searches conducted as part of a criminal case involving the alleged receipt of a particularly large bribe and money laundering.

He was brought to court on a stretcher.
