Air Arabia cancels some flights to Russia
Air Arabia has cancelled some flights to Russia scheduled for October and December, according to Russian media outlet Baza.
Tour operators and travel agents reportedly discovered that bookings for a number of October flights had been cancelled, despite passengers and industry representatives not receiving prior official notification from the airline. Some passengers were only able to confirm the cancellations after contacting Air Arabia directly.
Despite the reported cancellations, tickets for some October flights to Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Ufa and Samara remained available for purchase on Air Arabia’s website.
Air Arabia representatives confirmed the cancellations to Baza and said affected passengers would receive refunds for their tickets.
The reported cancellations are not the first such incident involving the airline. Passengers have previously complained about flights being cancelled without advance notice, with some saying they learned of cancellations only shortly before their scheduled departure.
