The Asian Development Bank (ADB) stands as one of Azerbaijan's principal sources of official development assistance. Through its operations outlined in the Country Partnership Strategy for 2019–2023, ADB has played a pivotal role in fostering private sector development, enhancing public sector efficiency, upgrading infrastructure, and bolstering human capital. This strategy has been meticulously aligned with Azerbaijan’s strategic roadmaps for the national economy and key economic sectors. Looking ahead, a new Country Partnership Strategy for 2024–2028 is expected to be rolled out by 2025, further strengthening the partnership and advancing the nation's development goals.
