Azerbaijan beefs up protection against cyber threats
According to the presidential decree dated April 17, 2021, the security of critical information infrastructure in Azerbaijan, including the fight against cyber threats, has been determined as a new sphere of activity.
Deputy Head of the Azerbaijani State Security Service, Ilgar Musayev, said in a founding meeting of the Association of Cybersecurity Organizations of Azerbaijan that the best practices were being applied to strengthen the cybersecurity of Azerbaijan, APA reports.
“The measures of strengthening the cyber protection of critical information infrastructure were analyzed,” Musayev said.
“The necessary support was rendered to the Azerbaijani Armed Forces as a result of our special cyber operational measures. During the Patriotic War [in Karabakh], it was seen that all institutions worked smoothly and coordinated their activities in this sphere.”
