Azerbaijani, Iraqi FMs mull Middle East tensions
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein engaged in a telephone conversation to address the escalating tensions in the Middle East.
The sides discussed the current situation in the region, as well as the prospects for bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iraq, Caliber.Az reports.
During the call, Hussein provided an in-depth update on the latest developments in the region, expressing significant concern over the ongoing conflict.
FM Bayramov shared details about Azerbaijan’s preparations for the upcoming 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, which Azerbaijan will host soon.
Minister Bayramov also highlighted potential areas for collaboration between the two countries.
The conversation concluded with both ministers exchanging views on other issues of mutual interest.
